A thoroughly well written and enjoyable book.
This book is the first in a series, and was a very fast read. Thankfully there are a total of 10 in the series thus far, so I still have plenty more to read.
I'd worked out the killer very early on, as well as part of the motive, but I still managed to be surprised by the final piece of the puzzle. I really love the two lead characters, midwife Sarah Brandt and gruff Detective Sergeant Frank Malloy, and I very much enjoyed their interactions.
