Loved it!
First off, can someone tell me where I can get my own Freddy? How adorable was he?
This is one of those books that once you finish it, you hug the book to your chest and squeal in delight. I absolutely adored this book. I've read the last part--starting from where Freddy arrives at the rectory--at least three times since finishing the book. I love seeing Jack get his comeuppance and I loved the final scene between Kitty and Freddy.
One of the best things about the book is that Freddy is not the standard romance novel hero...a character like Jack normally would be while the Freddy character would usually play a supporting role. This book proves that the hero need not always be the dashing rake in need of rehabilitating to make for a compelling relationship between he and the heroine. Watching them fall in love over the course of the book was a true delight.
Also...I LOVED any scene that had Dolphington in it. He was hilarious!
