Born in Death
Reading about Eve and Roarke's discomfort over being Mavis' birthing coaches was the high point of the book. Especially seeing the normally unflappable Roarke well and truly...flapped. ;) There were also a couple of nice, subtle moments between Eve and Summerset that just proves they don't hate each other nearly as much as they act like they do.
And, I'll be damned if I didn't tear up there at the end.
