I'm not a person with a huge spider phobia or anything. I mean, I don't like them at all, but I can usually deal with them okay. Unless they're big spiders, that is. Those scare me. Don't want any part of big spiders.
Thanks to this book, I may now not be able to deal with small spiders, either. D:
This novella starts off deceptively calmly. We follow the narrator as he begins to take a leisurely canoe ride down the river. We soon find out that there's more to the narrator's story and the reason for his trip down the river than we first thought.
But before we find out why our narrator is on the rive, something happens. From there, the story moves pretty rapidly.
This is a new-to-me author, and definitely one I'd check out again in the future.
