I've said many times that Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle is one of my go-to authors for comfort reads. I know what to expect no matter which era she's writing in--past, present, or future.
I've already read several books in the Harmony series, but I decided it was time to start at the beginning.
These books are set on a futuristic alien planet called Harmony, which hundreds of years ago present day humans moved to an settled on when a portal called The Curtain opened between the two worlds. One day The Curtain closed, thereby cutting Harmony off from Earth. The characters in the Harmony books are the descendants of those early settlers from Earth,
I enjoyed this one as much as the others I've read in this series, and I'm happy that the second book is also centered around Lydia and Emmett--the main characters from this one--because, while the book doesn't end on a cliffhanger, there were a couple of plot points that weren't wrapped up.
I'm also wondering exactly when I lost the ability to write a decent review?
