As much as I love these books, they make me so angry over what could have been had the show not been canceled. (And no one will never, ever convince me that the show was supposed to end where it did. I'm sorry.)

By the by...I had to add this edition, too, and the book page for this one as well as Penny Dreadful: The Awakening both point to the wrong author. It should be this guy right here. I don't know how to fix it, though. *sighs*
